I've looked at boogieman's pictures, and the post from tmax about the dyno power exhausts, (love the look), but the info is sketchy. Are the dyno's real muffler's, do they have bafffles, is rejetting a necessity?
Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Tom, Here's the low down on what I started with the Request from jango.... Jango has the 27" turn out mufflers found at this link: http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Produ...0002798/c-10111 Thats not what I was looking for but didn't know it, Boogie had the Mufflers/ pipes I was wanting so I found out they were the 19" turn outs Found here
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/ItemB...ID:100000144051
I ordered them... put them on... and I am quite satisfied with the sound! they sound good I like the way the short pipes look! I will try to post a pic in a day or two. My Bike set up is: Freak, 160 mains , 42 (stock pilots) I just got back from a 60 mile ride and it ran great sounded good, I am totally satisfied. I hope this helps answer your question. Take care Tmax

ps. I am not 100% sure dyno power is the maker but they look identical.

That's what I want tmax, shorty turnouts. Was that mounting bracket seen in the add a problem? I'm no mechanic and don't know what size the stock jets are or what a freak may be. How noisy are they, will my neighbors show up at my front porch with pitchforks and axes?

Thanks for the information.

Hey Tom, Couldn't say about your neighbors, They sound good to me I ran Specialty Spares short Cannons for a year and I like the sound of the 19" JCW turnouts as much if not better. Actually I like the look much better. The bracket I took it off and use NO bracket at all. They are short and not needed. Just tighten real good so you dont loose one. Tmax
Ps. The freak is a kit Brent@ www.newspeedmaster.com sells which is K&N fiters straight off the carbs, (No airbox) And the stock carb. jets are 120 mains and 42 Pilots.

UMMmmmm, uh....tmax, are we talking about $325 or just $30 for the filters? Do I need to replace the filters to balance the jets and pipes? I really want to get rid of the stock irrigation pipe exhaust. Where;s Cumby?

Well let's see Tom... The airbox and stock filter with the snorkles are restrictive(in flow). the stock exhaust is restrictive(out flow) The stock 120 jets carb. jets restrict fuel to prevent a to rich running condition. Only as a sugestion if I was you and had a lack of solid mechanical abilities as you have stated, I would get the K&N filter found here: http://www.newspeedmaster.com/html/k_and_n_air_filter.html
And pull the snorkles out: Theres three of them, Up in the box thru the top hole reach your hand in towards the carbs and the rubber tubes(snokles) should come out with some tugging and yanking, then remove or cut off the bottom of the main inlet snorkle. I dont have any pics of this but search under airbox mods and you can find plenty of info. Then: remove the float bowls from the carbs and replace the stock 120 main jets with 140-150's as a sugestion You'll be pleased with either, You can get them here: http://www.newspeedmaster.com/html/keihin_carburetor_jets.html
Then: Remove the stock exhaust and replace with any brand or length that you like and the bikes performance will be greatly inhanced. To go the Freak (airbox removal system found here: http://www.newspeedmaster.com/html/airbox_removal_kit.html
May be a bit more than you want to tackle unless you have someone put in on for ya. The rest is a piece of cake. There is plenty of archived information on this site to guide you right thru it, just research it out get your tools out and get in up to your elbow's. let us know if we can help further. Tmax
Ps. Cumby is in north east Texas

Thanks for your input and patience tmax. Sounds like a great winter project. Two final questions if I may, Can you tell any extra seat of the pants type power, and how did it affect gas mileage? Thanks again.

Tom, I did notice A stronger pulling and a higher top out immediatly. A different bike if you will, There is truly a different bike there waiting to be unleased, Gas mileage? I'm getting 45.5 average but for a bike who's counting? Good luck with the Mods. T
