Skid, Here is a thread I posted a couple of months ago (with purchasing and other details) ... Whitewalls for Speedy. ... to include the pictures below: I quote from that post (see link above): ""Anyhow, the specs for those who may be interested are: The tires are made by MAXXIS. Front = 120/90-18 Rear = 150/90-15 He got them from the Discount Tire Store in Pasadena, Texas (a friend of his brought them over). The cost was US$ 250 for both. Apparently the front tyre is 1cm wider than the standards and the rear is 1cm narrower (still looks cool IMO). The front tyre very slightly scrapes the fender in the front, so he will grind the fender down 1 or 2 millimetres for only 1-2 cm (from the front to back, the clearance beyond that is fine). "" I hope this helps.

Bucky's got some faded dirty whitewalls on his SM. They'd look pretty cool if he cleaned them. Maybe he'll post some pics? Uncle Charlie

How come it's raining/wet in every picture?

Will a 110/90-18 fit the front with no modification? What will the effect be on handling, or other issues?

I put a 110/90 on my '03BA with no mods. Some say the tire can expand at high speed. Tested mine to over 100mph on the way home from NH several times. No rubbing.
Found that the taller tire(99 vs 88mm) brought my speedo into spec based on side of the road radar trailers. Was reading 10% high before.

Awesome, this is one of the projects I want to do, after my stock tires are ready to be replaced. Very cool.

Would the tires {110/90} be the same for an America Also ??? I'm really impressed with the way this looks.

The white walls look GREAT on these bikes, but I'm concerned that the black brake dust inherent with the disc brakes would be a PIA to keep off the white. Any issues with this that those who have these have encountered?
