I was thinking about that too. The problem is that the bracket things that came with the pipes are not very long and definitley not long enough to reach where the stock hangers were. I know a few other people have installed shorty pipes I am not sure what they have or have not done about mounting.

I have the longer 32" pipes from JCW on without any hangers on them. I've ridden through Germany, France, Austria, Italy, and Poland this summer with only having to tighten down the bolts once. You're right...they are loud!
