Hi All
I'm new around here and I'm after some advice. Im considering fitting an oil temperature gauge to my 2002 America but i'm not too sure if this one will fit.

Quite a few of you guys have a good amount of knowlwdge on these bikes... so my question is will this fit my bike?

Thanks in advance

Jack

No, the dip stick will hit a gear just inside the case where the filler plug is. If you look in there you can see it.

Oh and welcome to the nut hatch.

I saw that same gauge being sold new yesterday for $50 new when I was looking for the oil cap in a different thread. Even had that logo on it so if you look around you can find it much cheaper I don't feel like searching again.

FYI, I've had that one for some time now and it works well. In summer sticks to about 80celcius consistantly at operating temp and in winter takes a while to get there.

Sure that one will fit it sounds like it has a probe like the one above that won't work.

Hi
Thanks for the prompt replies....wish my bike was as quick.

I did think about getting one from Brent, but by the time you add shipping @ $25.00 plus the rip off import tax that we have to pay the price starts to spiral ever upwards.

My main concern is the length of the probe 8mm millimeter or 0.314 inch [international, U.S.]

Staffo are you using the one that Grzegorz has shown in his link?

Thanks for the link Grzegorz.

Jack
