I get the same thing from a friend with an ST1100... we just tell him he's riding a gas tanker. At one stage his son was coming on rides with us on his 250cc something-or-other and we suggested that with a big scoop on the 250's air inlet and leaving the ST1100's choke on, the son could ride behind his dad and not use any of his own fuel. :P
