Looks great! What handle bars are you running? I have been looking for a bar that is about between a speedmaster and america...looks like you found it.
RE: Fork boots, I saw a Bonnie that had been lowered and they secured a set of thin stainless exhaust wrap clamps in between the pleats a few folds from the top then cut the boot off above the clamp. They only had about 4-5 pleats left so it didnt look squashed. It took a pretty close look to tell they were cut. I would assume you could do the same with black zip ties? Just a thought.

Love the look you have there, trimmed b!tch pad and mostly black. I think the center of the rim, upper fork legs, hubs, engine side covers , cam cover ,and pipes would look good black. I like the oil tank look better than the open frame look.

that front end looks lowered alot, how much? I guess thats why youre fork boots are so squeezed up
I say get some broomstick dragbars instead of apes. It looks good the way it is....low and fast
I like where you put the ignition, have you ever bumped it with your leg and shut if off?

Did you make the fake oil tank yourself? I'd like to get my hands on one of those.

Thanks for the comments!
Jinx- the handlebars are from the v-tiwn catalog. I think they are called 2" rise drag bars. They were about $25.
Brokenfixed- I have the progressive fork lowering kit. I used the 2" lowering option. It's kind of hard to see in the pics, but the ignition is set far enough back that my leg doesn't come near it.
Jimmy2bad- the oil tank started out as a real one that I purchased on ebay. I have a friend who is a welder, and it took quite a bit of extra work to make it work. One thing I didn't account for is chain slap. I should have had it notched out for the chain. It isn't bad most of the time, but right now I can't really ride with a passenger.

MAN, Jaime! If this bike o' yours doesn't win ya more than a few trophies in the Bobber/Chopper/Custom category at any Bike Meet you may enter it in there in Ohio, then all I can say is that those Buckeyes back there must be smokin' too much crack lately, dude!!! BEAUTIFUL, man! BEAUTIFUL!!!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Watch that chain slap, my chain ate through a mini beer keg I used to center the battery, hold the ignition and fuse block. If it eats through at the wrong time it could hurt a little.

I'm not an ape man either, I think it makes one look like a monkey but maybe that's meant to be a good thing and I'm missing something here Whatever, I really like where the ignition key is cos it looks like it'd be nice and easy to find compared to original debarkle and I too luv the bars and lots of other stuff you've done too Jaime. Well done mate. Btw, is there any chance you could give us a link to where you bought the bars cos they just look right to me; Very nice and welcome too
