Quote: My first bike was a Bridgestone 350 GTR that came from the factory with a chrome tank. Not only was it garish and aesthetically unpleasant, it could be absolutely blinding under full sun. This is definitely one of those ideas that works better on paper.
Jack
EDIT: Here's a photo of my old Bridgestone (and ex-girlfriend).
Wow! What a coincidence, Jack! I myself dated one of the "Norton Girls" back in the day!!!
(yep...Grace Norton...she lived down the street with her sisters Faith, Hope and Charity Norton!)
Oh, and BTW Jack...the reason that old Bridgestone's gastank didn't look "right" wasn't because they had chrome on 'em. NO! It's because the gas tanks on those old machines were pointed the "wrong way"!!!
You see, everybody knows(except maybe the japanese at that particular time) that the BIG END of a motorcycle's gas tank is supposed to be facing FORWARD!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
