Mark, Not to bring the old can opener out but.... Unless you remove the secondary fuel filter at the T first....I believe that 50% of the fuel starvage posts was because of this. This includes the fuel valve also. Sure, this valve will stick sometimes & need replaced but on a design note it lets in more than enough fuel that engine will ever need.
Our founding fathers might not agree with this but...just my opinion
