Just bought my ticket to see The Stray Cats perform here in Spain as part of their 'Farewell Tour'. Last saw them in 1980......I wonder if the passing of 28 years will have been kind or am I gonna regret seeing them and wishing I'd stuck with my memories ??

Wow I didnt even know the Stray cats where still together.

Now, I'm not saying a certain BA.com member who now resides in beautiful Clovis NM is old or anything, but I understand the very first concert he attended, the opening act for Glenn Miller was Gene Krupa and his Band.  (...and a Coke at that concert only cost a nickel)  (sorry GB...I couldn't resist)

Item #2 - I appreciate small venues. Last Saturday night, saw "Imagine" - a Beatles tribute band, at a local winery. Pretty good entertainment, the weather was good (for the most part, but snuggling up with the Mrs. under an umbrella for about 15 minutes is a real marriage builder, especially when you're holding the umbrella to keep her dry (OKAY, I'm a wuss...insert sound of 'P-whip" here). Anyway, if you can catch them, do.

I kind'a agree with ya Bob,(and not to turn this thread into a "dangerous direction" here) but if one is going to a "Christian concert", OR say going to see somebody perform like maybe John Fogerty who has had many hits in the vein of "Fortunate Son" and "Runnin' Through The Jungle"...well...what would one expect to hear expressed from the stage between songs at concerts like those, anyway?!

In the case of the "Benefit for Gov. Moonbeam" it worked out for the best. Nancy and I decided it was more entertaining to kill time in my buddy's van <big,huge,grin>
I'm actually more surprised I got "P-whipped" past the powers that be...

Someone mentioned seeing an artist at a winery. Nice! I saw a renouned artist, Tony Levin (King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, Liquid Tension Experiment, and many other bands), at a brewery in Kingston, NY a few years ago. An incredible show, and only about 150 people (for those who don't like people, haha!).
Re: those who don't like people. Since you participate in this forum, do you go to Triumph/motorcycle-related events that people of same interest tend to go to? Rally's and get-togethers? With people from in here? If so, why? And, if not, why not? Very curious to hear your answers, seriously...

Glad to see a few other Dead Heads on board.
Oh another annoying thing is poor security. My wife, with a broken ankle, and I were at Peter Frampton concert recently. Yes.. recently. And it was awesome.
Anyway we asked if we could move to the Handi-cap section, since we had nose bleed seats. Since my wife was able to make it down the stairs to the floor were the HC section was, we got denied. What the ???? At first I was nice and asked for some help. This women then threatened to throw me out. I've been to way too many shows to have some dumb woman toss me out. I was more than upset with her and requested to speak with a staff member who had a radio. I refused to return to my seat until I had spoken with someone with more authority than a Security T- shirt.
Long story ... short version. Not only did we get excellent seats 15 rows back center stage, but we got another couple we left behind, seats with us... along with beer service. I would have been happy with less, if the b*tch would have helped us out in the first place.

I've been to a few rallies and for the over all vibe... nah don't like the crowd. Too redneck, but there are some nice folks in the mix.
I gotta open my mind up a little before getting there.
