Quote: What did surprise me was the crowd, waa mostly young kids. I'd say between 16-25 all dressed up like "hippies". There I was expecting to be bonding with a bunch of burned out old acid heads. And found myself surrounded by a hoard of teeny boppers looking like they were going to a holloween party.
Sounds almost like whenever I have gone to any of the shows that fetures 80s bands. What is even funnier is that we do have a good alternative music station here that plays some of the really good 80's punk along with some of the new alternative stuff, and you'll over hear some kids talking and say something like, "Did you hear that new song from Suicidal Tendacies, 'Institutionalized'?" (or insert other 80's song). I just cant help but laugh because they seem to have no clue that the stuff they think is new is over 20 years old and I bought the album when it was new.
