The Maxium chain wax cost me about $10. for a large can which hasn't run out yet after 3 years and 13500 miles, but finally about to run out. I guess at 14000 I'll have to buy another can. My dealer uses the same stuff and did it at the service intervals.
I just don't like mess on my wire wheels. The only thing that gets on them is brake pad dust which I wipe off once a week.
