I noticed this the last couple of days when flying. They tell you deplane the plane. Now, that just doesn’t make sense. You board a plane. You don't plane a plane. So if you don't plane a plane, how can you deplane a plane if you didn't do it in the first place. If you could deplane a plane, wouldn’t that mean that you are taking the plane out of the plane? You don’t defish a fish, you debone a fish, you take the bones out of the fish. I guess you cant really depassenger the plane, because it mean that someone else would be pulling the passengers out of the plane. After all, a fish doesn’t pull out it's own bones. Deplane? The word just doesn’t make sense. When you get out of your car, do you decar the car, or do you detrain a train, detruck a truck, demotorcycle your motorcycle?

So....does this mean "Debunked" realy means "You got out of bed"?

Could also be that disembark is too big a word for most people, and does not translate well into modern rap English.

Me personally, I'd rather they just say. "Ok you vermin, Get the XXXX off the plane. We're here." I could respect that...

Maybe they think some lumberjack will whip out an axe and start peeling the plane.

Does this imply that some passengers don't know they're supposed to leave? Maybe the same folks who can't find the gas pedal when the light turns green?

The same ones who drive into store fronts and crowds because they don't know the brake pedal from the gas.

Funny you should say that. I flew on Southwest one time from Nashville to Fort Lauderdale. 10 minutes into the flight the flight attendent whispered over the intercom, "You are feeling very sleepy, go to sleep. You do not want any peanuts, go to sleep" Then when we got to the gate, same attendent came over the intercom again, "OK folks, we're here, now get off". I thought it was funny and so did most of the other passengers. And best off all, we didnt get the industry standed "Bub Bye Now" as we walked out the door.
My kind of flying. Get on get off, no fuss.

My favourite is when they talk about de-stuffing a container. Who stuffed it in the first place.
I would sure as ****** hope they packed it rather than stuff it.

When the printing press was invented were all the churches and monastaries described?

If you erase a musical score you've written are you decomposing?

If a power plant shuts down do they degenerate?

And why is it that in golf, you're supposed to score under par...but in anything else, a "sub-par" performance is less than adequate?
(yeah it was in a movie, just can't remember which one)
