I called Bubs's exhaust systems to order a set of Rhinehart True Dual muffler bodies. I was told they are exclusive to Harley Tour bikes and I would have to order them there. I went to the Harley dealer(parts dept.) but was told He has to call in verify that he is ordering for a Harley. After the run around he was finally able to talk them into sending just the muffler bodies and not the header pipes. I could not figure out why those pipes were exclusively just for Harlies but they sure look nice.I saw theses pipes with the anodized endcaps. Nice chrome job and great sound. And for all of you who don't know who Rhinehart is he is the exhaust builder for NASCAR vehicles http://www.bubent.com/rh/index.html

Johann! Get someone to make a pair of billet endcaps for your old Raask mufflers and you've got your Rhineharts!

OK.this tip was free. The next one will cost you a couple of German bier next summer!

It sure is nice to live only 20 miles (or so) from the BUB factory! If only I could talk them into making a few more of the Dresser Dog for the BA

BA has Freak, 160mains, 44pilots, air mix3 1/2 to 4 turns, BUBS dresser dogs. Never had more fun on any bike - 2nd bike 2008 RIIIT

Update on the Rhinehart mufflers. Bub's wont sell them to me unless I produce a receipt showing where I bought the originals. I said what if I damaged the mufflers or bought a bike that came with them from someone and don't have a receipt. They said they don't care, either show a receipt or buy a new set of pipes and mufflers. Anybody out there own a set of these? and have the recipt. I need these muffler bodies when I start my project this winter.....Angelis... fredlevy@hotmail.com

here is my solution, go to another dealership (HD) and just buy the whole setup headers and all. If you want them that bad then they will be worth it to you. Tell them you have one of those crappy sportster things that a million wannabe's have and that will be that.
good luck

Greybeard, I did not mean for your OL to reach in your pockets again. Forgive me if I caused any financial problems.

Yea, by the way I found a pair of mufflers. I wont say where, I don't want to get anyone in trouble with Bubs.

We stopped by the dealer and she heard a bike with the sound she wants. Luckily, it had Vance and Heins pipes that are only going to cost $260 instead of $800, plus a fuel injection remap. Bloody complicated stuff, on my last HD, all I would have to do is reach down and give the high speed mixture screw a twist.. mutter... mumble...

Greybeard, since it's my fault you OL wanted a new set of pipes, I'll fly out there with my exhaust gas analyzer and help you dial in the remap of the fuel injection. Just have the beer ready....Angelis
