About a year ago a long time friend and former girlfriend of my brother, Debbie Zigich, was brutally murdered by her estranged husband who then went upstairs and capped himself leaving two school age daughters behind.
Although I could say a lot more, I don't think much more needs to be said in way of back story. Suffice it to say that her friends are putting together this bash to help out the girls. It is, like many such things, a bittersweet opportunity to get together and have a good time...but it will be. The Wild Knights were for years the premier Grateful Dead tribute band and at least one of them have made a name for themselves away from that project; they are all top-notch players..
I realize,other than by rarest coincidence, you have no direct connection to Debbie other than me but if you're inclined...just passing this along. If you know of anyone who might be interested...please forward this. Some pretty heavy hitters from the Seneca Casino and Salvatore's Italian Gardens are stepping up and tossing in food, prizes, cash, tables, tents and the like. The property it is going to be held on is extensive and you can camp. Check out the link for the updates...pretty impressive.
