Watch out! The buffalo hide stuff I've seen is very thin and sewed together in patches. Not what you would want in chaps. The seams are where the weather will affect the chaps most, rotting the stitches. A good pair of chaps will last you a life time, except when they shrink, like mine did when I changed jobs to being a desk jockey!
