The cam chain on mine was a snap, I still haven't figured why Matt's was such a pita to get on the bottom gear. But I will certainly keep my eye on the next one I have lined up to do. Finish one, start another one.
Actually the gasket info turns out to be wrong in this case. It was that the starte gear was slightly crooked and the gasket was a little snug, so I trimmed a pubi-meter off one little area. No problem re-using it either when we aligned the gasket correctly.

The fische-man stuff is great, it is pdf files of the Triumph parts fische that the dealers all have. I find it very useful, and way faster, to come in with a prts list with numbers to order stuff. that way I know there are no mistakes. the dealer's software even crosses the part to new numbers whenever that comes up too.


A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice. Pat
