Not at all...more about the customer service. I own 6 pieces of domestically made leather...and will NEVER, I repeat NEVER even consider buying foreign. Apart from the infinitely superior materials and build quality, the customer service can't be beat when it comes to the domestic brands. I had some of the custom work on my Vanson start to delaminate so I dropped it off at the factory. 15 minutes later and it was fixed. No dealing with customer service reps. No hassle whatsoever. The same with my Walter Dyer gear. They have full lifetime warranties that they actually follow thru with.
I tore the zipper pull off of one of my Dyer jackets. Dropped it off at their shop and no questions asked, no bull****...just a fixed jacket and a true, heartfelt apology for the inconvenience.
I see no point on wasting my hard earned money on something that I'll have to replace in a few years. Do it right and get a quality product on day 1. You'll be glad you did...trust me.
