Gotta admit Mike, that Caspian Blue is one nice color.
(it's too bad they didn't offer it in '02 when I bought by Cardinal Red 'cuz I would have probably bought that instead)

BTW...regarding the T-Bird here folks...

What I can't seem to understand is the idea which some folks are proposing that the T-Bird "looks japanese"???

If you folks recall, back in the 1960s ALL "big" japanese motorcycles looked a bit "british" because back when BSA was the world's best selling motorcycle and the british motorcycle industry was in it's prime, the japanese wanted some of that market, and so they designed their machines according. Even the classic CB750 Hondas or most any of what has now become known as the UJM(Universal Japanese Motorcycle) took many of it's design cues from the old british style.

Now, of course, the "American V-Twin Look" is more popular, and thus Japan Inc makes motorcycles in that vein to compete in this now larger market.(I'm of course talking about the "standard" or "cruiser" models, not sportbikes here)

As far as I could ever tell, Japan Inc. seldonly "creates" an original look. And so to say a machine "looks japanese" I find to be somewhat of a misnomer.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
