Can someone please give me the the part number for the pod filters? I would like to remove my airbox/relocate battery and have found almost all of the needed info/parts except for a source/part number for the filters.

I'm wanting to do the same thing. What all is needed to remove my airbox and install pods? I know I need pod filters (2), crankcase breather, some kind of support for my carbs, and some tube for attaching the pods to the carbs (or do I just attach the pods direct?)

Don't need tubing. The pods come with clamps and slip right on to the carb intake.

Take the rear tire and fender off and you wont have to cut anything. Lots of people are looking to buy those parts you take off, so the best condition you can keep them, the better...If you wanna sell them.

Depends if you want to keep the fake air cleaners and side covers or not. You can cut away part of the air box and keep the mounting points and still make enough room for the pods then use the air box as a tool box. Or you can get or make brackets and remove the air box all together. There are several kits out there, all are over priced for what you get. I think the Freak is the best one as much as I hate to say it since I and a several others had problems with Newspeedmaster.

I kinda want to reposition the battery so you can see the two pods. Its definately going to be a winter project since I drive the thing all the time. I opened up my airbox on my dirt bike by taking a map gas torch and heating up a 3" putty knife then inserting the knife through the plastic and making a nice near factory looking cut.

Anyways, what were the problems you were faced with Ian using the freak kit?

Then only thing you need is something for a carb brace ,a turn buckle works well. You will also need the obvious bits to mount the battery , ignition, and fuse block but those are parts you will need to make.
