My preference is to take pictures and have all the parts laid out for easy reassembly. BUT the “shop†I have to work in is a friend’s basement we have turned into a shop. There is limited room there and usually three bikes, so just not enough room to lay things out on a board or table. As for the pictures, for whatever reason I can not find my camera
or I would have taken pictures of the removal of the bent gearchange shaft and replacement. Ended up cutting both ends off that to get it out.
