No probs with passengers, I never carry em only keep the pillion to mount the driver backrest. There does seem to be sufficient room for the shocks, a bit more than the pics suggest. I did see on another forum a fellow from the UK toured France with the larger version of the bags and had his girlfriend on the back. He didn't seem to have any probs, at least he never mentioned any. I will heed your warning though and keep an eye on it. Should it cause any problem it will be easy enough to increase the spacers between the bracket and mudguard supports ,we don't have fenders here don't you know. It won't need much to give a bit more clearance.

They look good and seem to be the right size. They are a mite close to the shock body, if you ride with a passenger watch so they don't hit. My Large Saddleman drifters are mounted similarly and occasionally hit the shock body. They've done it enough over the years that that section of the plastic backing broke off (I put on metal backing plate).
