Looks like a good way to snap your leg right at the knee if you step on something slippery at a light, get your leg caught under the "cage" and go down...

Firts thought was "dang, think about all the extra stuff Martin could strap to that!" Second - getting on and off has to be awkward as heck for rider and passenger! nevermind the limited room to move around at stops or whatever....

While I don't like it, I can see the logic behind it.
There have been a few bike crashes around here recently where the passenger (usually wife/gf) has been catapulted off the back of the bike to their death. As far as I can remember, both riders died in most of those...
But I have to agree - get a car.

I still don't think i could get my wife on the back of my bike with that. OSHA had to have something to do with that thing......
