I'm looking for an option to help keep windblast off my hands for when it gets cold again. I may install power heated grips or finally break down and get heated gloves but am looking for something to keep the wind off my knuckles as well.

I'm either thinking of something along the lines of clear hand deflectors that you can get for most metric cruisers (for example, see the bottom of this page: http://www.scootworks.com/shop.cgi/page=partswindshieldskaw.htm/SID=1215995170.8655

Or a windscreen that has a wide flaired portion that extends out over the hands - something like this (but perhaps marginally less fugly:

Has anyone installed anything like this? Thoughts on effectiveness?
