And looking for some help and some advice. Its time to mobilize this place. Some of you might know the problems I'm having with my bike. It blew its second sprag clutch in the beginning on June. And its still in pieces at the dealer and there are no loaners available. This has gone through 3 iginters and 2 lower ends with 8k miles on it. I've had it. I've emailed Peter C about it and last year he extended my warranty so this is covered but I haven't had a bike for a month, let alone not having one last june or last august.

Does your state have a lemon law? I would think this bike needs a trip to the crusher. Sometimes all the tolerances slid to one side and you get a bad machine no matter the brand. Just like when all the tolerances go to the high side and you get bullet proof.

I does sound almost exactly like the situation BirchR was in. I woulder how close the SNs of the motors on his bike and yours are/were.

Alden my engine number: on the 04 was 196183 VIN: SMTTJ911YL4195335. I must stress I had no problems with the sprag clutch, the engine run great except for 3 replaced igniters.
Always seem to be the same cylinder when they went..

Basically it tries to run backwards while starting and it pops the sprag clutch off of the case. Meaning they have to rebuild it from the cases up. When my iginters blow its both sides all or nothing, no in between. Not sure what my Vin its on the reg at the shop. At this point I don't know if I would take another triumph. I'm filing the paperwork for the lemon law, but I have to wait until its out of the shop. I think I'll ask for the refund.

I guess all brands of any type of vehicle has there lemons. One of my friends is picking up his Ducati(new to him)07 that does not even have a 1000 miles on it.It was in the shop the first time for one week.Ran ok for a week and went back. It's been in there I believe for 3 weeks straight. He is not a happy camper. He actually called Italy on the tech line and talked to them over there. It sounds like some of the dealers are hanging onto the bikes until they get paid by Ducati for the warranty work-doesn't that bite. They gave him some number,he called the dealer up and they said he could go then and get his bike.I guess it is a good thing he speaks Italian.Hopefully the thing runs right this time for longer that a week.It all has been fuel system problems appartantly. My Triumph(knock wood)has been fine for over 44,000 miles except for dirt in the fuel filter once and I have not had any ignitor problems, thankfully.

Possibly, maybe, if nothing else breaks it should be done tomorrow. And that Folks is a quote from the dealer. Time for another stongly worded letter.

Dill, It may be time to invoke the NH lemon law. I would take advantage of it in your case. That bike has had problems from the start. The state will assign an arbitrator to your case and negotiate with the dealer.

Actually the dealer is out of the picture for the lemon law...once you invoke arbitration ...it goes directly to the manufacturer...in most cases the Dealers would prefer you go lemmon law because it greatly reduces their stress by removing them from the loop...they are stuck fixing the POS and putting up with angry customers and fighting with the Manufacturer (when we were having issues with A.C's car the dealer actually suggested it (the Lemmon law)to me)

That means the timing is very early. There is a chance the alternator rotor has somehow slipped on the shaft. Might be a good idea to mention this to the dealer, although the chances they will have a means of checking the timing are slim.
