Hmm....I'm younger than Echoance, and I had a prolapsed disc before Xmas - and still not properly back at work, but that's due to retraining.....

And riding around means that I forget all about my back and I'm happy. I have the stock America seat on them both and n backrest. Ok I sometimes put my feet on the rear pegs for a diferent position, but that's all.
I've had no real pain (I mean the type where it takes over an hour to get out the sofa) since February, was allowed to ride again in March and no painkillers since April.

I've always found my America ot be comfy, and great therapy.
