Really good info to have-especially the states that require you to have 'one ear'. Finally a requirement I passed! And at my age!

Interesting that some States dont require eye protection. And sombody needs to tell these guys http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/PrintLaws.htmlCanada IS NOT A STATE..If it dont offend our friends up north, it should.
The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

Thanks for the charts Soren. I remember seeing a similar chart either in Easy Rider or Big V-Twin. These things can come in pretty handy when laying out a nice long route.

I live in FL and I guess every biker I know here is in violation of the muffler requirements. Good thing it's not enforced.

Talk to any officer and he'll tell you he can pull over just about anybody on the road and cite them for a few things. Just because they aren't actively enforcing it doesn't mean they won't use it to pile on citations if they pull you over. It's all up to the officer's discretion.

Sometimes you need to watch out for City/County Ordinances that are toughter than the state law. Example: In Denver all pipes must have the EPA stamp on them-which may make all aftermarket pipes illegal, regardless of the decibel level.
