I just finished my trip of 3000 miles with the new Clearview 18.5 screen. I also have a Corbin seat, so I was sitting lower on the bike than stock. I'm 6'2 and the 18.5" was PERFECT. I could sit normal and see over the top just fine, or lean back and look through it easy. I really like that where your sight line splits at the top of the screen, it doesn't give you the double vision effect of some screens. I was still in the wind, I wasnt looking to feel like I was on a Goldwing, but the head rattling buffeting of the stock height screen is gone. The only issue I had was when I ordered it, I had called the company and told them I need it for my trip to Sturgis, and they said it would be done. I emailed in the beginning of July, they said it was on schedule. A couple weeks later, they said it wouldn't be ready. They had slightly blemished screens in stock for less money. They didn't have a 18.5". I asked them to cut down a 20", which they did for free, and when I got the screen, the blemish was where the chrome straps go, no biggie. I actually polished it out with the samples they sent. I got the light grey, didn't notice any more or less reflection in the screen like some say. For what I wanted, again, it was PERFECT. I think the 20" would have been way to tall, and look too big on the bike, plus I would not have the option to look over or through the screen. If you have the roadster screen and get too much wind, I would strongly recommend this as another option, I am very happy. Mine also went right on with no issues, I know some have had mounting problems, this was pretty simple to get on.
Glad your 18.5 inch screen worked well for you.
I got the 18.5 inch screen a couple of weeks ago and it was too short for my height (6' 4") and the stock seating height. Head buffeting was awful at highways speeds...so much so that it blurred my vision. I was actually better off with no screen at all.
I sent the screen back to Clearview for a replacement 20" one. Hopefully, it won't take another 9 weeks to get it.
Just got back from Sturgis yesterday and didn't see another Triumph there. But I got a lot of compliments from Harley riders on my bike.
The screen would have come in handy on the ride out to the Devils Tower.

The blurred vision was the problem I had with the stock screen. Maybe the lower seating position of the Corbin helped. Would you consider one of the "blemished" 20" ones they have? They told me that they are barely noticeable (I polished the tiny scratch out), and its cheaper and in stock... just something to consider if you dont want to wait.

What's the discount on the blemished screens?

Well I ordered the 18.5 inch screen , should be here by the end of Sept. That's just mid summer here in Phoenix so I'll have it in plenty of time for our frosty Phx. winter.( Is 65 degrees frosty? )

Mailman,
I just sent back my 18.5 inch screen for a 20 inch one. It's in perfect condition. Give John a call at Clearview to see if you can get that one sooner.
