I'd hate to lose any legroom, but really need something better for long trips.
I've been looking at extending the controls forward, but the pipes prevent much movement here; perhaps 1 inch at most. Other cruisers such HDs already have the controls mounted in front of the pipes which makes it easier to extend them.
