Well folks, while on mid tour leave I went and looked at the Speedmaster and America, and have to say I was impressed with the overall fit and finish and feel of the bike. Was larger than I thought it would be.
However, in the end, the wife and I decided that this would be a great second bike for me, a fun weekend short tripper, and that we needed to stay in the Sport Touring side of the sport. If you remember I was only looking outside the ST style at her request. But.... after sitting on Harleys, Road Stars, BMW's, Victory's, she decided that she liked the way I looked on the Sport Tourer, and that the Cruisers made me look (and her feel) old....... LOL I would have been happy with the Speedmaster, but will be happier with the ST, and the big bonus, my wife is happy and supportive, and that makes it all a win win.
So it is a Sprint ST, probably an 08 leftover, but not sure yet.
This is a great forum, enjoyed hanging out a bit. Who know, I find that perfect 2-3 year old Speedmaster, and 2-3 year old Sprint and buy both for the price of a new sprint ;-)Ah, but thta would mean getting rid of my faithful XS11, and that's not gonna happen.
