Any one know if there is a replacement for the white face speedo. for our bikes. I think it would look great to have a nice black faced speed indicator. I know a few years back there was someone making something like what I am talking about for the V Strom. It was just a matter of switching the face plate out in the speedo to the color that you wanted. It would be cool to color match it to your bike.
08 America (Black of course they are much faster.) AI removed, Everthing else stock atm
No matter where you are, your there

I'll have to see if I can find the address, there is a company out there that restores old speedos including repainting the face. I'm sure if you contacted them they would do the face in your unit if it's possible. I know of them from a friend who restores mostly Knuckles.

Well, if you can crack open the case and get to the gauge face, you could scan the face into a computer, invert the colors in just about any graphic program, print it out, cut it out, and slap it in there.
That's basically what they do for automobiles. I can replace the gauge faces in my VW Golf OR my '65 Mustang. I think they print those on plastic, though, not paper.

Anything you can share on the process to install them? Thanks. I haven't looked at speedo/tacho closely or inside as for lighting.

The hardest part is putting the speedo beauty ring back on: There is a thin rubber gasket that is not very cooperative without a little clear silicone grease. Otherwise, it's real easy.

I take it from your reply that its just a straight forward swap of the bulbs no fiddling about with wiring...
