I'll be in Missoula July 25-28 for work. I am not sure yet if I'll be flying or riding. I have to work on the 25th and 28th.

The percentage you're paying is too high-priced While you're living beyond all your means And the man in the suit has just bought a new car From the profit he's made on your dreams

If you read the whole thing, they reveal that last time during the HA visit the police had more trouble with the residents than the HA. And really, how bad can an organization whose initials spell laughter really be?

Yeah I saw that John, I guess trouble starts when some drunk
yahoo decides to challenge one of em. I attended a party/pig roast some years back. Put on buy a small local wannabe 1% club.Maybe about 15 HA showed up. Things where cool for a while they was just drinkin eating watching the strippers like everyone else. Then some bar bell boy Hulk Hogan wannabe, pushed one of the HAs. They made pretty short work of him. After that it was time to go.

I'd like to sit back with an adult beverage and watch the local frat boys play "Poke the biker with a stick..."

From your rather vague description of this incident Mr.Jackson sir, and the fact that you said "THEY made pretty short work of him", I can ONLY come to the conclusion that evidently these HA fellows must not usually adhere to a strict interpretation of the established Marquis of Queensberry rules of conduct in matters such as these.

Oh! And, the other conclusion I've come to here is that the fellow to whom you made mention resembled a certain Mr.Hulk Hogan may also not have been privy to this information that these HA fellows seem somewhat disinclined to follow those above mentioned rules of conduct!

(no...that wasn't another "english lesson" there Jackson...I just felt like puttin' a different "spin" on that whole thing, THAT'S ALL!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

"Bunch" being the operative word there, Zdenko.

As in...what kind of "guys" gang up on one guy?

(and I think THAT question "translates" into BOTH "good ol' 'merican" AND "high-falutin english", wouldn't ya say?)

And before we answer THAT question....I'd like to say to Soren, I hope you have a good time in Missoula!!!

I hope you can hook up with Friar John, or "Freedom" John, or SOMEBODY(who maybe doesn't feel the need to belong to some "club" to feel "whole") can meet ya there, dude!!!

I belong to a club. Not to feel "whole" but because I enjoy being part of a group of like minded individuals that share my love for motorcycling.

I don't think it's appropriate to generalize about motorcycle clubs unless you have first hand knowledge of what it's like to be in one...and even then, I would say that every club is different. Not every club are 1%rs.

Sorry Aaron. My mistake there. I have to admit I didn't make myself very clear in my "wish" for Soren's trip in the above.

I was refering to the 1%er club members there, NOT to any members of loose knit organizations whose PRIMARY purpose is the enjoyment of motorcycling.

Bummer, change of plans (again). I'll be flying in Wednesday evening the 23rd, and leaving late friday afternoon. Hoepfully, I'll get a chance to get over to the dealer on Thursday or Friday during lunch or try to get off work early on Friday.

Looks like I'll miss out on being an evangelist for the Church of Triumph and converting all those angels to a much better bike.

Well, look at the bright side then, Soren.

(you would have probably had about as much luck doin' THAT as the dude did who Jack said reminded him of Hulk Hogan that night at that bar!)

Well Dwight I wont say that Capt. Steroid desevered the azz woopin he got.Event had to be about 12 yrs ago. Wouldnt even consider going to somthing like that now. But if memory serves. There where all sorts of folks there bike and non bike. The clown had been acting like "Mr Badazz" all night. What led up to the push I realy dont know. What I saw was, Muscle brain gave one HA a double hand push to the chest knocked him back but not down.HA responed by drawing the sawed off pool cue hanging from his belt. Then several other cues were drawn and the lesson began.

No harm done Dwight. I just wanted to voice my opinion that belonging to a motorcycle club, IMHO, is a very entertaining way to enjoy the sport in a way which encompasses much more than motorcycling.

My club is very close knit and adheres to a lot of the customs and regulations as the 1% clubs do, minus the inherent lawlessness that appears to go along with such clubs.

Soren, I hope you get a chance to ride while you're there!

Unfortunatley, not a chance on this trip. I'll be flying in, renting a car, working, then getting out of there.
