I was in the hospital a few years ago and in the bed next to me was a school teacher, who thought her breathing problem was a heavy chest cold and oh yes their smoking habit didn't help either, but she was convinced that her problem wasn't related to her smoking habit at all. I overheard all this in conversation she was having with a nurse she was trying to talk into getting her outside during the nurses break so she could have a smoke. If I recall, I think she may have even offered to pay her...Two days later she was released with a lung machine by her side to enable her to breathe....the kind you can't smoke near or strike a match....Start calling yourself a non-smoker, take deeper breaths, consider how much you're not giving to the government in taxes, consider how offensive someone else's smoke might be to yourself or other non-smokers.
good luck...lose sight of the fact that you ever smoked...you're a non-smoker...
