Someone posted a pic of the new V-max recently and the majority opinion was that it's ugly. I thought it was beautiful. Well this month's Cycle World has an article and a lot of pics of it including the front cover. I am in love with this motorcycle my heart beats faster just looking at it. Also, in this issue is a great article about "The Bike That Won't Die" the Indian Chief for'09

Seen one in person this past weekend at Thunder in the Valley rally. This bike is big an long but, when I sat on it I felt like I was part of the bike.Still not my cup of tea.

I can settle for ugly for close to 200hp, busa owners have been doing it for years. At top speed no one could tell what it looks like.

It looks like totally brutal naked aggression but I guess that's the point.

More brutal than naked I'm afraid. I do like a lot of their bikes but not this one.

I think the expression on the dude in the middle pretty much summarizes the asthetics of this one...

You know the guy in the middle is thinking: "I can't believe this thing will actually sell."

I hear it doesn't corner very well but goes like ****** in a straight line. I like Yamaha's, and I looked at one of these before I bought a triumph, but I prefer a total package and I really don't that much power anymore. I can honestly say I have no regrets with the choice I made.

I think that the guy in the middle has that face because he just rode it and is suffering from a case of the racing stripe in the pants. I know I would leave a "skid" if I was saddled up on that thing

Sometimes I wonder just how many bikes like this you see on the streets in Japan.Everytime I've seen any pcitures or videos of bikes astually being ridden in the far east.None of them ever seem any bigger than a 250.
The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

I think it is tacky, overdone and destroys what the V-Max has been style wise at least. But I am sure it will continue to do what the V-Max has always done well. If they tone down the garrish intake tubes and Exhaust cans, lop off the silly shift light, and clean up the headlamp a bit would be a perfect update. Oh...... and cut $5,000 off the price. That is rediculous.

On the rumor front, I read a blurb about a "V-Max killer" 2009 RIII model, all blacked out, with a tweaked 2500cc powerplant.
