Funny thing about all this is that I have never been easy on any motor during break in. I just dont think it is possible to be that nice to a motor for the recommended time frame. I had my rocket 3, road it for a week and put about 150 miles on it stoplight to stoplight hitting the rev limiter several times. then after that 150 miles, road it on a 400 mile trip. Hitting the 140 mark for about 5 miles straight. ( yes there are wide open roads like that around here!!! ) Well, when I had the oil changed, and a k and n filter, cat eliminator, pipes installed and mapped, dyno tuned. My rocket was the best on the dyno in town. ( both hp and torque ) I broke in my speed triple the same way and it also was the best on the dyno.
