Well, I am not an expert, - but my trial and error process has lead me to the following (with "the Freak" installed"),

160 main jets
42 pilot jets
.020 needle shims
3 turns out

With those settings (at about 200ft. above sea level) I don't experience the flat spot you spoke of.
