Hey Pony, thanks - you're right - I guess 'long distance' is relative. My longest day this year was 1200km, but that is unusual. My day rides are usually 400km, but I do a few trips a year where i like to cover about 600km a day for about a week at a time. Here in Australia, there is a lot of space - with not much in between!!
