My first bike was a Harley Scooter. Two stroke 175 CC engine that would get to 85 MPH. Auto trans with belt drive and bullet proof. Had 12 inch tires. I ran that thing for about 3 years everywhere. It is still up in the country and my nieces and nephews are still trying to break it. I had only one spill with it and ended up in a brier patch. Next bike was a '79 Bonneville Special 750 that I bought in 1980. Kept it 3 years and 45K miles later sold to keep my wife from killing me. Great bike and I missed it. Roll ahead 25 years and I bought another Triumph. This time a Speedy as I liked the look and the saddlebag capacity. Wonderful bike but for a newbie it may be a bit much. Enfield is importing a bike of 350 CC that would be a neato first bike and the prices are reasonable. They are made in INDIA with 1949 technology and they look pretty cool.
