Once I was pulled over, my insurance card was not current, the new ones had not arrived yet, so the cop asked me if I was still insured, I said yes sir, he let me go... I was stunned!
Then another time some teenager crashed my car... luckily a cop saw the whole thing happen... he did ask me for the insurance, ID etc... turns out I left my wallet at the office, not good, but the cop was very understanding and said "don't worry about it, I can pull all that info from my computer in the cruiser" and he did... he was more concerned with the teenager driving by herself when she should of have adult supervision.
gilligan, I think you might be able to dispute that one... say that the mail sometimes work too slow

you had a card and the cop could have checked weather or not you were insured.
