Well Dill, speaking of ridiculous tickets. I just got one for $93 for failure to carry an insurance ID card. I decided to ride the bike to work to save on gas and come over the crest of a hiil not more that two miles from my house and there is a cop sitting there with his radar gun and he pulls me over. OK, I really wasn't going that fast, so he asks me for my license, registration and Insurance ID card. OK, got a licence, have registration, and an expired insurance card. Hand the stuff to him. He comes back and tells me he isn't going to give me a speeding ticked just an infraction for not having the insurance ID card. What could I really say - nothing. I get to work and look at it and its $93. Really glad I saved on that gas money and took the bike to work today. I'm honestly at the point where I think we are spending too many of our tax dollars on law enforcement so that regular citizens can be cited for ridiculous infractions like seatbelts, insurance cards, etc.
