Well here's what I don't understand then...

What the heck constitutes an "Unsafe Start", or "Exhibition Driving/Riding", short of wheelie-ing off a standing start? Because, as Benny's question above implies, short of also cutting another driver/rider off as you would accelerate from this standing start, how exactly is this manuever supposedly "dangerous"???

I ask this because, as most of you folks know, California allows for splitting lanes(or "filtering" to some) to arrive between the cars stopped at red-lighted intersections. And once the light changes to green, and of course after you MAKE SURE that no cross-traffic is running their red light, you GOOOOOOOOOO, and this manuever affords you a whole lot of clearance from all the dunderheaded cagers that would have been around you. You see, they're waaaaaaay back there BEHIND you now!

Now, with the proviso that I haven't exceeded the posted speed limit(and as I said above, do NOT "wheelie" in the process), I can't tell you how many times I've performed this manuver in the presence of a Traffic/Patrol Officer, and have never been "hasseled by The Man" here in the "Golden State"!!!

And so I ask, what the heck was runnin' through the mind of that cop in NH anyway??? Because, I can't believe a...thump..thump..thump..Suzuki SAVAGE could conceivable even begin to ever perform a quote: "Unsafe Start" to begin with???!!!

(no offense there Dill, OR to your lovely wife's little Suzook either!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
