I seem to have struck a nerve with some people.
For a minute, I thought I stumbled onto a Harley forum!
Gee whiz, my mistake. I thought thie section of the forum was "Other Bikes" and the subject was "curiosity... if not an America or Speedy, what...". That led me to believe we could talk about bikes OTHER THAN Triumph vertical twins.
But I see some people are hung up on the Triumph nameplate and so-called heritage.
Sorry, but "heritage" goes out the window when you start building your so-called "English" bikes in Thailand.
Indeed, I traded in "heritage" on improved power, handling, styling and reliability. And oh yeah, Made in the USA.
But hey, maybe someday the 20XX 1500/1600/1700 Triumph Mystery Cruiser will fill the void in the Triumph lineup between the 865cc and 2.3L bikes. I wish youse guys well. Slainte.
