With respect Jack, but it's not the same thing.

Messrs Ford and Chevrolet where 2 talented and innovative individuals who made a great impact on cars while the industry was still in it's infancy, relatively speaking.
Besides, they were both from "within".
The one didn't come into the other's industry 100 years later attempting to capitalize on the first's success as did Victory, or more precisely ... the Polaris conglomerate.

As you have noted I also mentioned heritage ... that's priceless.
