Seen this on a few bikes really like it. I am looking for more info on it...I guess Brokenfixed has some info on this .
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, brokenfixed (Tommy) has a line drawing of the attachment you need to make to replace the section of airbox that seals the area off since the fender doesn't go all the way to the swingarm. Then you remove the battery box from it's current mount, cut off the ignition switch holder and remount everything in it's new location, including re-routing the wire harness and fuse box under the seat.

Heres some info Dave, its actually pretty cut and dry. Im by no means a magical fabricator at all. I figured all this out myself in my backyard using hand tools and home depot hardware.

heres the diagram i made that shows you what to cut and where

heres a pic of the brackets that i bolted to the battery bracket

another from the back

Heres a pic of my wiring rerouted under the seat.

It looks complicated by its just basically taking all the wires and looping them around to fit under the seat and above where the battery hangs. If you look close you can see the solenoid that I have clamped to the top of the battery strap. And the fuse box doesnt need to be mounted anywhere because the main harness is pretty stiff and doesnt let it rattle around anywhere. In fact I like my fuse box like this because I used to blow fuses all the time from hard bumps. This was because my suspension is lowered alot and the fuses were hard mounted to the bike which caught alot of shock from hard bumps. Now that its free hanging I havent blown a fuse yet. Of course thats not a problem for most that arent lowered, I figured I'd mention it.

Also I didnt mount anything on the backside to act as a fender, the brackets and battery tray sorta do that job pretty well. In fact when i recently took the bracket off I barely had any road grime stuck on there, and its been about 2-3000 miles now.

heres some up close shot of both sides before I painted everything.

A friend and I recently moved my battery. It was pretty simple but we did things a little different. We took a piece of flat 10 gauge steel, cut it 7 x 7.5 inches (it could probably have been an inch or two longer to assist in it acting as a fender but at 7.5 inches, it hangs down about as far as the stock air box did), drilled the mounting holes (we used the same bolts as BrokenFixed), heated it and bent it until the battery sat level, we then cut the excess tabs off the original tray and welded it to the bent plate. Some paint and that was that. One of the other things that we did differently is that we left the fuse box attached to the original tray. Personally I like Tommy's place for the fuse box better as my battery is slightly off set to the chain side of the bike in order to accommodate for the extra room the fuse box takes up.

I'm planning on taking pictures soon as we should be cutting the fender in the next couple days.

I resurrected this thread cos I am interested in doing this one myself.

I was wondering if anyone else had moved their battery like what Tom has done and if so how did you go?

Also, I would really appreciate some more pics and any problems you had along the way just so blokes like me can put everything together in my mind before I attempt it?

Thanks to anyone who can help here cos I know I'll appreciate it.

its sort of a pain to cut away the mounting tabs on the frame that used to hold up the side covers. I just pryed them back and tried to cut them off so the cuts are facing towards the inside of the bike. And then you gotta run a coat of paint over top to prevent rusting.
