Sorta on the same topic, last month a friend of mine asked me if I would look at an old Triumph he was considering buying. He told me where it was and I knew the bike and owner actually so didn't evn have to look at it. It is an old 1969 bonnie that is beat to cr*p, never taken care of, rusty as all get out, bad tires, bad brakes, starts ocassionally but the wires like to catch on fire. Anyway, the guy wanted $5,000US for the POS. I told my friend to run away very fast. he found a nice 75 for $3200 that was completely restored and is very happy. Now if he just learns to ride a bike he can actually take the thing out on the road.
