I have the same set up...simple, easy, cheap and a well made item.
I run a Nuvi 360, keep the volume off and for the most part Im good.
My only issue is that since I keep the volume off I dont hear the prompts so I tend to miss a turn here and there (just ask some of the folks that have ridden with me).
