Definitely scuff up the bar ends for the hairspray to adhere. (should be part of the instructions) I used some wet sandpaper to dull the chrome.
Yep, shouldn't have said "glue" hairspray is the stuff to use, takes longer to go off but gives you time for lining things up and is easier to remove if needed.
