Sonya and I tried out a GT1000 sport classic and fell in love with it. If we had the money who knows, may have ended up with one instead of my black speedy. Mark

As long as it's not my left arm, take your pick from one of your non-riding brothers
Just wait until the '09 Triumphs come out, you may change your mind.

I rode one of the 2006's last year and it was a blast. On the other hand, the Speed Triple was pretty good too.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

The 2-valve Duc motor is one of the best street motors made; gobs of torque without the intense maintenance and temperment of the water cooled 4-valvers. When you get a chance, check out Zard's double exhaust for that thing; just wicked looking!

We've got one that I ride with. ****** pretty, and there's a guy I see at the coffee shop we meet at with a Paul Smart edition, now THAT is a pretty bike, even more so since he rides it.
I think I'll keep my tiger though.

I like this one (maybe I'll sell Soren's other arm): or maybe I'll wait 'til this comes out (if it ever does):

That 2-tone looks even better in person. I went and drooled over it at the Duc dealer here in Seattle. They are classy, for sure.
That Honda is cool too...it'll never see the light of day here though. I think I read that it's going to be a Euro/Asia model only....cuz Honda hates us.

Of course you realize, don't ya Eric, that it's more a case that Honda "knows" that we 'mericans are mostly crazy for V-Twin H/D clone cruisers and across-the-frame four-cylinder sportbikes than we are anything else, and that these "retro-styled UJMs" aren't usually big sellers over here...and not necessarilly because "they hate us", right?!
(I mean, I'm sure you were bein' facetious there, weren't ya?!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

You could put some pontoons on it and ride it back.
