So I'm ready to plunge - got the loan arranged, and taking a test-ride on Tuesday - 2008 America. (Fuel injected here in the Great White North). I do a big tour each year with some buddies, so tank range is important to me. Can anyone give me a heads-up as to how many miles I should be able to get before the fuel light flickers, or I have to switch to reserve. The '08 is a 19 litre tank but some of that is taken up by fuel pump.
FYI, I tend to moderate the right wrist a little, the better to enjoy the scenery going by.........
Any advice anyone can offer would be much appreciated, especially from anyone riding a fuelly already.
