A friend of my wife's is looking for a new bike so I did a spreed sheet of features she is looking for. She wanted high dependability and low maintenance. Low weight, alloy wheels, disk brakes low seat height, low maintenance final drive and fuel injection. I was surprised how behind the times Honda is. Based on these criteria the Kawa 900 came up #1 with the America #2 because she didn't want to have to deal with a chain drive.
After 13,000 trouble free miles I was kind of taking my AMerica for granted and this gave me a new look at what I think is the best bike on the market. The only repair has been a failed speedometer at 12,300 miles which Triumph fixed free of charge. You can't go wrong with an America-and we haven't even gotten to the fun factor yet!
