Firefox users, upgrade NOW. It is so much faster than version 2. Firefox 3 dropped today and they're trying to set a new world record for number of downloads in a 24 hour period.

Go git it!

My son told me about it as soon as I got home.
So I did about two hours ago.

Thanks for the tip John.

2 has been a might odd here & there, like the %s search thing, and around a minute to fire up on my laptop. I'd often have to shut down firefox.exe from the ctrl + alt + del side to get it to start. Still like it better than Explorer though.

Yeah. I have been setting up gmail since i posted earlier. Gonna step away Thunderbird. Heck ya can only use it from the puter that has it anyways. I like the photo association with addys too that gmail allows.

I saw yesterday there is a serious security problem with the new Firefox. Wendy found it on her Yahoo page. They won't give any details but say the only issue would be if a person using it went to a malicious web page or clicked a dangerous link. No other info will be released until the problem is solved. Sorry don't have the link she saw it when we got home late last night.

Well, Firefox is typically the most secure browser available, so please find the link, because I'm always monitoring the intarwebs (part of my job, honest) and I've heard nothing about it.

Well, hey, look at this. Bummer. Oh well, nothing like testing out in the wild.

So did I, now the search to get all of the updated add-ons so I can feel whole again.

For what it's worth - if the auto-update says one of your extensions or themes isn't compatible with 3, search for it on Google. I've been able to find new releases of most of them (I thought I was going to throw this bugger out the window if I couldn't find my Tab Mix Plus!).

Basically, if you don't go to web sites that would cause hairy palms or blindness you should be ok with the new FireFox until they have a patch... I guess we're doomed.

Cheers, Sid

I know. I'm feeling the pain on that one, too. I can't get my tabs to behave the way I want!

Here is one and I'll keep looking because that isn't the article I saw. Firefox Vulnerability

I love the Firefox browser and will keep using it and wait for a patch. I found a couple other articles but the info is basicly the same.
another

Ironically, however, it effects version 2 as well. May as well upgrade. I imagine the patch for version 3 will come out quicker.

Here's the link to the newest Tabs Mix Plus! http://tmp.garyr.net/

Now I just need the Noia eXtreme theme to get updated and I'm all put together!
